Work Your Way
It is free to sign up, create a profile, add your skill, upload your portfolio, create fixed-fee services in your area of specialisation, receive project notifications, discuss project details with the client, bid on projects, chat with potential clients and scale your practice globally.
The professionals on the Lexdot are independent freelancers providing legal services to individuals, businesses, legal practitioners, law firms and corporate legal departments. From drafting legal documents and legal advice, these jobs are posted by users every day. Search for a job that matches your skill.
We are a network of law industry professionals. If you join Lexdot as a lawyer, you must demonstrate that you are qualified as an attorney, lawyer barrister or solicitor in your jurisdiction. We verify that you are a member in good standing in that jurisdiction. If you are a paraprofessional, your profile must state your qualification and skills.
Our system will contact you when a job that matches your skill is posted. You can submit your proposal for the job and explore ways to earn your next opportunity. You may also submit your quotes for any posted jobs and wait. There’s also the possibility to create milestones on the proposed amount.
Fixed-fee legal services are posted as offers to prospective clients on a fixed price basis rather than on a project or hourly basis. These services are purchased strictly on those terms described in the listing. You must be clear upfront about the scope, timing, price, and terms of the offer.
When you get hired, we charge a Service Fee of 9.9%. This fee applies to the total payment you receive. The same fee applies to hourly contracts and fixed-fee offers you post on the platform. To avoid getting entangled in “fee-splitting”, we ask you to consider our Service Fee when offering your services.
Do I Need A Liability Insurance?
The legal professionals on Lexdot are from around the world, and jurisdictional laws differ significantly. However, in all instances, as an independent professional, you are responsible for purchasing professional liability insurance. Having liability insurance can help future-proof your practice. At Lexdot, we recommend purchasing Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance. PI protects you against claims for loss or damage made by clients or third parties due to negligent services you provided or negligent advice you offered.
